Back Blurb:

Affabel: Window of Eternity is John Bevere’s movie-quality, sound-design audio drama.  The Audio Theater from John Bevere’s book, Driven by Eternity, features John Rbys-Davies from The Lord of the Rings and a cast of professional Hollywood actors and original music scores.  (It truly sounds like you are sitting in a theater listening.)

Have you given much thought to eternity?  Not just where..but how you’ll spend it?

Do we neglect an eternal perspective because it is too difficult to grasp?  This epic lends a window too frequently lost from our earthly vantage.  The story of Affabel allows you to experience both reward and consequence of our present choices.

Join the majestic King Jalyn, the dark lord Dagon, Charity, Independent, Deceived, Faint Heart, Selfish, Double Life and others as you explore the wondrous lands of Affabel and the terrible outer limits of Lone.  you’ll be challenged as the characters reveal much of your very own heart.

Affabel… a place where things are not always as they seem.

King Father is God the Father, King Jalyn is Jesus, Sageous is the Holy Spirit, Endel is Earth, the Royal Guard are the angels, Affabel is Heaven, and Lone is the Lake of Fire.

John’s audio drama, Affabel: Window of Eternity, has a WOW factor of 10 out of 10!  It’s a parable of our own lives here on earth, how we are given entrustments (or talents) from God, how we use them, our faith in Jalyn, and our future eternity.

The main story revolves around Deceived, Selfish, Independent, Faint Heart, and Charity who started at the School of Endel at the age of five and subsequently graduate.  Sageous mentors and observes these five leaders.

These five individuals hike to a mountaintop where they find a tree, and notch their initials in the tree–DISCF–planning on returning  regularly to greet each other over their life span.  On this mountaintop, they discuss what they plan to do with their lives.  They are given monetary entrustments to test their stewardship and commission directives.  They are admonished to meet every week to encourage each other on their walk in Endel.

Choices about their circumstances and faith will determine their eternity.  Suddenly the Royal Guards of Affabel come and round everyone up–the Day of Judgement is at hand.  They are brought to Affabel, go through the Hall of Judgment, and individually meet their Judge, King Jalyn, who will judge their lives and determine their place in eternity.

The characterizations are phenomenal!  It’s like listening to your own life and the lives of others around you.  The interactions are real and emotionally charged throughout the drama.  The music behind the audio drama enhances the story line beautifully.

The first time I listened to Affabel, it was absolutely overwhelming.  I felt compelled to re-listen and blog on it, as it was a tremendous audio drama of life and eternity. It makes you stop and analyze how you are living your life in the light of eternity.  And I could still learn so much more by listening to it again.  There is so much ‘meat’ to digest and apply.

At the end, John Bevere has a message you don’t want to miss.

This CD set was loaned to me by a friend to listen to and blog about.

    • We did your book, Driven by Eternity, in our SS class. Then another class bought the CDs. When I heard them, I knew it was something I wanted to blog on.
